Technology/Process Description:

 

The process followed at The Nikasu Foods is as shown in the flowchart below. Notice that the   products are taken through a double metal check in order to ensure the quality product.

Technology/Product Specifications:

 

The product range of Nikasu Foods includes: -

 

·        Vegetable Frozen Foods 

Vegetable frozen foods section of Nikasu foods has a wide variety of products ranging from Indian snacks/ fast foods to a full meal. A few examples would include: -

 

a.                         Kachori

 

Ingredients:

Pastry:-

Wheat flour, sunflower /cotton seed oil, salt and water.

 

Filling: - Peas chilly, ginger, salt, pepper, sugar and clove.

 

Cooking Instruction:

Deep fry: frozen fry in medium hot oil for 8-10 minutes till golden brown.

 

b.                         Dosa and Sambar

 

Ingredients:

Dosa: Rice, black gram dal, salt, water.

Sambar: peas, potato, potato, onion, drum stick, salt, water, cucumber, coriander.

 

Cooking Instructions

Thawed: microwave for 2-3 minutes.

 

c. Elayada

 

Ingredients:

Rice flour, jaggery, coconut, ghee, cardamom, salt & water.    

 

Cooking Instructions:

Thaw the product to room temperature. Remove the product from the packet Microwave/steam the product.

 

Caution: - Do not refreeze once thawed. 

 

·        Vegetables and Fruits 

 

The vegetable and fruits section of Nikasu foods promises to deliver the frozen fruits which when defrosted are same as a freshly plucked fruit. A few examples would include: -

 

a. Jack Fruit

Ingredients:

Jack fruit-Ripe: Defrost before serving.    

 

Jack Raw:

Steam / microwave and add salt and or add spices as required Jack seed: cook with water for 10 minutes and add salt, spices, coconut etc before serving

 

b. Cassava (Tapioca)

Ingredients:

Tapioca (raw)

   

Direction for use:

1, Bring 4 cups of water to a boil

2, Add contents to boiling water, cook 30 minutes. Add salt and Lemon.

3, Drain and serve.

 

·        Ice Cream Filling Items

Peels (e.g. Orange peel, Mango Peel, Coconut peel)
